Yes it’s Saturday and I have the weekend to myself so I decided to do my makeup today to reflect my mood, which has been sort of upbeat and full of energy. I love trying out new lip products because it’s pretty fun to work the rest of my look around one particular lip product so I dived into the lip products I have recently acquired and had some fun with them. With this particular look I decided to wear a more neutral look (like always) to compliment a very gorgeous bright lip achieved by the use of ILIA Beauty’s lip crayon in Call me just because I was feeling a bit bold and daring today. This lip crayon embodies femininity and confidence and I definitely wanted to step outside of myself and play that role today.
For this look I started off by doing my everyday skincare routine, which I will post about soon, and then filling in my brows with one of my very own concoctions, since venturing into the land of filling in my often sparse brows. I started by lightly filling them in with Jane Iredale’s lip pencil in Cocoa and then blending some of their eye pencil in Basic Black to get the exact color I wanted. I then cleaned up my brows with the use of RMS Beauty’s Uncover Up* and then used it to conceal my under eye circles and the discoloration on my eyelids. Then I set everything with Gabriel Cosmetics pressed powder in Deep Beige with its very silky and matte finish that looks just like your skin but better. Then I went on to do a serious winged line that would put Ms. Winehouse to shame, with Zuzu Luxe’s liquid liner in Raven, then tight lined with Jane Iredale’s eye pencil in Basic Black for thee perfect seductive feline eye look. Then I applied lashings upon lashings of ILIA Beauty’s mascara in Nightfall, which is a long time favorite for really dolled up stand out lashes and that is it for the eyes.
And then around this time I am looking much like a blank canvas so I decided to contour with Everyday Minerals bronzer in Happiness. I then added a flush of red to my cheeks with RMS Beauty’s Lip2Cheek Rapture and then it was on to the lips, which are the stand out part of this look. I used my new favorite lip liner in Pink by Benecos* to line my lips and then filled them in with ILIA Beauty’s lip crayon in Call Me* for the perfect POP of color on the lips. It is such the perfect bright lip for the summer and since being sent Benecos lip liner to try, I’ve found the perfect lip pencil to go with it, and we all know how important that is right?! Then I sprayed my face with Maya Water’s facial mist to set it all and then viola! A perfect dewy look with a gorgeous pink lip that screams warm weather here I come! It instantly lifted my mood.
Well, that’s it for my FOTD which is rather simple, but I want to hear about your FOTD or even your everyday look using your favorite products. Are you into the bright lip this spring/summer? If so, let me know what will be your go-to lip product in the comment section below!
