Intial Review: Mad Happie’s Eye Cream

mad hippie eye cream reviewThese days it seems like I switch eye creams like I do handbags but I really need a miracle for these dark circles. I recently tried out the John Masters Organics Firming Eye gel and that was great and all but it wasn’t made specifically for combating dark circles like Mad Hippie’s eye cream is.

Mad Hippie’s eye cream ($24.99, 0.5 fl oz) is described as a “A Rich, Conditioning Peptide Eye Cream that Liberates Your Skin From Wrinkles, Swelling & Discoloration.”

I’m loving this stuff already and here’s why, for starters this eye cream is super hydrating! My eye area easily drinks this stuff up. It is easily absorbed once applying and your wait time between applying additional products goes by lightening fast.

It has a super creamy white consistency that easily moisturizes your entire eye area. It feels so smooth on the skin and it doesn’t take a lot of product to completely saturate both your under eye area and your eyelids all at once. It only takes half a pump for both eyes because with anymore you’d have way too much.

I’m starting to think that most eye creams come in really small packaging cause this little guy is teeny. But in this case and like with most eye creams a little goes a long long way so that’s really no biggie.

It has such a nice light pleasant scent that I really can’t describe but it smells great. It’s also not too overpowering either. I obviously can’t speak on whether or not its the answer to all my prayers in regards to getting rid of these dark circles of mine because its too soon to tell, but these are the perks so far. I will be back with an update in 6 weeks. I’ve been using it for about 2 weeks already and it’s already swoon worthy.

Have any of you tried this eye cream or any of mad hippies other products? If so, which ones?

Vitamin K is supposed to be really effective for dark circles. I’ve been searching for an eye cream that’ll help with them too…can’t wait to hear how this works for you! :)

Hey Caitie, I’m actually super excited about trying this because I wanted to try the Naturopathica one but this one is way cheaper and I’ve heard this one really works for dark circles so fingers crossed!

Never heard of it or used it but this sounds fab! Firstly, I love the name. Second, it’s affordable & third I’m glad to hear you’re getting results! I’ve got dark circles just now+++ after being unwell but not found anything that works yet. *sigh* Luckily I’ve found a good concealer but I’d like to treat the route cause, so to speak! Look forward to your six week update & loving your blog <3

Hey thanks, but isn’t the name so cool, I love it! I’m hoping this will work out great for dark circles because its so inexpensive compared to other eye creams so anyone can try it.

  3. I’ve been wanting to try Naturopathica, too, but it’s quite expensive. They also don’t ship to Singapore :(

Anyway, this 6-week wait will be too gripping for me to handle… I need a miracle dark-circle buster.

  4. And I love the new blog look. :)It looks like a magazine spread.

I’ve been using for about 3 weeks their Serum!

3 weeks isn’t enough time to see some hyperpigmentation go away, but I’m hopeful…!

  7. [...] covered the initial highlights and perks of this product in my initial review which you can read here I’m going to skip all of that stuff and get to the good part. Like, does this eye cream [...]

No luck though I love other products they make.

Hey Kathy, I have never heard of this brand until now, but I know how hard it is to find an eye cream/serum that works but this one really worked out for me in terms of getting rid of some of the darkness under my eyes so if you are still looking for something this may be an option for you. Thanks for your comment!

    Hello,

This sounds intriguing – I never really believed in eye creams, but I might have given this one a try if they hadn’t changed the formula (at least, it seems like that on iHerb) and added essential oils. :-( My super sensitive face will very likely get irritated by them, so I won’t try it. It’s annoying that many companies think they need to scent everything.. for me, less ist more.

    • Audreiana says:

Hey Julie, Awww that’s terrible! I hate when companies do that too, because there are a lot of people out there with sensitive skin and I feel the need for a scent in an eye cream is really unnecessary. This eye cream does work amazing for dark circles but I was not aware of the change in their formula. I’m going to email the company and see about it. Also, I’m testing out Kahina’s eye cream and will be reviewing that and it has a very light scent that would be excellent for someone with sensitive skin like you. So look out for that review soon. Thanks for your comment!
