With the recent talk of good sunscreen recommendations for this coming summer, I really wanted to post all over Twitter and Instagram that I have found thee best sunscreen by far, but I had to refrain myself for the sake of this post. I recently had the opportunity to try out this magnificent sunscreen and I am super happy that I had the chance to. I’ve been struggling to find a sunscreen that is not too thick, doesn’t leave a white cast, and is easy to work with on the skin and I have definitely found it in this one.

I, along with my many of my fellow green beauty bloggers have been on the hunt for something just like this sunscreen that I am about to wax poetic about, and I am super excited to have found one that doesn’t make me appear ghostly or ashy for once! And this is a cause to celebrate ladies and gents.

John Masters Organics SPF 30 Natural Mineral Sunscreenhas a white very creamy consistency which makes for super easy application to the skin. The bottle states that you can wear this on top of a moisturizer or without one, which I found true because the consistency is much like a thin lotion. The thing that pretty much blew me away about this sunscreen though, is how moisturizing it is because there have definitely been days before I went out for a run that I decided to use this alone since you really don’t need a moisturizer in addition to this. Say what?? I know. I’ve never tried a sunscreen that was able to do this especially with the dry skin that I have until now.

This sunscreen has pretty much become an all-in-one product for me where I simply just apply it and go. And the highlight of this sunscreen is that it does not leave a white cast, I repeat, it does not leave a white cast!! Initially it goes on white but this sunscreen is so creamy and easy to work with that it takes not much effort at all to work it into your skin, which means no white cast! Ever! I also noticed that what separates this sunscreen from others is the fact that it is a lot like lotion so it does not absorb or stick to the skin too quickly which gives you time to work it into the skin and allow it to be absorbed entirely.

This can be used on both the face and body but I definitely see myself going through this pretty quickly since I love to pile on the sunscreen when I go for a run so the only downside would be the amount of product compared to the actual price if I do end up continuing to use this all over. This sunscreen is a little on the pricey side but at this point I am just very happy to have found a natural sunscreen that works for me and I will purchase this in the meantime. This is the perrrrfect sunscreen for everyday use and it even doubles as a moisturizer so it’s a lot  like a moisturizer that provides sun protection too, which is just fab.

Have any of you found your perfect natural sunscreen for this coming summer? I know some have suggested Devita’s sunscreen, which I have yet to try, but are there any others? Let me know in the comment section below!

I’m currently using the DeVita, which also has the consistency of a lotion but power of a sunscreen, however I am interested in Consonant’s new The Perfect Sunscreen, which is SPF 30 and apparently has a nice tint to it as well.

Hey Jade! I’m really wanting to try out Devita’s since it is such a hit with everyone else. I hadn’t heard of the other you mentioned but it sounds pretty cool. Thanks for your comment!

I would be very eerie of using that sunscreen. It seems to me it doesn’t comply with FDA regulations on over the counter drugs. Sunscreens are regulated by the FDA and there is a required table of ingredients, etc that must be printed in the label by law. Also lots of lab testings are required for the SPF grade.

    • Audreiana says:

Hey, hmmm it seems it just lists the active ingredients of the sunscreen on the actual bottle and I’m not too sure about the lab testing but that would be something to definitely ask the people over at JMO about! Thanks for the info

Nice! It’s good that the John Masters Organics SPF 30 Natural Mineral Sunscreen doesn’t leave a white cast ’cause I’ve been looking for a natural facial sunscreen suitable for my dark brown skin. I think I’ll try the Devita Solar Protective Moisturizer SPF30 first as it’s more affordable.

    • Audreiana says:

Hey mangomadness, it’s always important for me to find one that doesn’t have that dreaded white cast since I too have brown skin. I’m looking to try the Devita one too because it is a lot cheaper and I’m hoping it performs the same way. I’ve heard great things so far though. Thanks for your comment!

I always use all natural sunscreen when I go outdoors. A lot of my friends think I’m crazy, but I absolutely swear by it! I rarely get sun burn, and no longer have break outs! Plus, it completely avoids that terrible taste if you accidentally get some in your mouth.
