Since I don’t really talk skincare as much as I do makeup on my blog I decided to share with you guys some of the skincare items that I have been using and testing out lately. I typically keep things pretty simple in the skincare department and I don’t ever really have any major problems outside of the hormonal acne that decides to spring up on me around that certain time of the month.
I also suffer from dark circles (that have gotten a lot better thanks to some products I have used) and slight hyperpigmentation in certain areas that is a lot better than it used to be thanks to this product right here. I also have really dry skin throughout the year so I mainly focus on making sure my skin is thoroughly exfoliated as well as hydrated. So without further ado… Here are some of the skin care items that I have been using this month.
Cleanser- Kahina Giving Beauty’s Facial Cleanser*: [review] This cleanser is really gentle and does a great job at cleansing my skin without stripping it AT ALL. I love the light consistency and I also really love the light scent, it’s very refreshing. I also love using this to remove makeup straight out of the bottle with a cotton pad. It also helps that this cleanser comes in a ginormous bottle that lasts foreverrrr so I don’t have to feel like I’m always repurchasing this. Win!
Exfoliater- Hana Organics Lavender Grains*: I’ve been testing out a sample of this for this month and I have to say that I really like this. I often struggle to find a happy medium when it comes to exfoliating products because their either too gentle where they’re not effective or too abrasive where they can cause damage but this one is just right. I’ve also realized that I am absolutely obsessed with the smell of lavender so this made me love this a lot more too.
Toning Mist- Marie Veronique Organics Pacific Mist*: This mist is very hydrating and gives my skin a nice refreshed look and feel that I experience even when I use this alone throughout the day as a pick me up. My dry skin really benefits from using this and using this mist followed by the next product I am about to mention is just magic. It does have a slight herbal-like scent that I don’t think smells the best but it doesn’t linger too long which is a plus.
Facial Oil- Marie Veronique Organics Pacific Oil*: After misting my face with the product above I apply Marie Veronique Organics Pacific Oil while my skin is still damp to lock in the moisture the mist supplies and this combo has been so perfect during these harsh and cold winter months. When I perform this same sequence at night I can’t keep my fingers off of my face because my skin feels so soft and plump and even when I awake the next morning I am still glowing. I have been using this oil for about 3-4 weeks now and I have also noticed an improvement in the hormonal acne that I usually suffer from on my chin. This oil is very hydrating and absorbs very nicely as well.
Eye Treatment- Kahina Giving Beauty’s Eye Serum*: I sometimes apply this eye serum before I mist my face or sometimes I apply it after I let my oil absorb entirely, it just depends on whichever I grab first or how much time I am working with. This eye serum is light enough to apply under makeup so I have been applying this both in the morning and night and really see an improvement in the puffiness around my eyes. I haven’t been able to tell whether or not it has helped with the darkness underneath my eyes but I will definitely be reporting back when I have tested this out longer.
Mask- Kahina Giving Beauty’s Antioxidant Mask*: I have really started getting into pampering myself on lazy Sundays all thanks to my fellow green beauty enthusiasts that I follow on my social media channels. This mask really leaves my skin so soft and what drives me wild about this mask (in a good way) is that it has small beads in it that aid in exfoliation when washing it off. I am pretty much an exfoliating freak so the fact that this clay mask does that and also leaves my skin feeling amazing is awesome.
