I absolutely love body wash! There’s something about using a body wash over plain ol’ soap that is just so luxurious. I love to stock up on and try out different scents and types of body washes because I go through one thing of body wash fairly quickly. I haven’t been buying much body wash lately but I was very excited to try out something new especially from a company I had not heard much of until recently.
I recently got the chance to try a body wash from the USDA certified organic brand called Nourish in the scent Wild Berries. Their products are chemical free, cruelty free, and concern free meaning a lot of us green or cruelty free beauties have not much to worry about in terms of the ingredients. The company has made a pledge of purity which means you won’t find any parabens, phthalates, petrochemicals, artificial fragrances or preservatives, silicones, propylene glycol, mineral oils, sulfates, synthetic dyes, triclosan, EDTA, or aluminum. So, basically to sum that up their products don’t contain any of the ingredients us green beauties love to hate.
Nourish’s Organic Body Wash in Wild Berries ($9.99, 10 fl oz) has a really light fresh scent and when I say fresh I am talking mainly about the fact that this smells literally like fresh berries bottled up. It smells as if you were literally in the midst of some really fresh ripe berries and happened to catch a whiff of them, this is exactly what this body wash smells like. The company refers to the scent as a “just picked scent” and they hit it right on the nose with that one because this scent doesn’t smell like a synthetic version of fresh berries, which is nice. This scent really puts you in the mind of nature and natural things that come from the earth just like the ingredients of this product so this would be perfect for someone who likes things like that.
In terms of this body washes consistency it has a creamy consistency and this particular body wash is of a light peach pearly color. It doesn’t lather up like your average body wash does so those that like an order of extra foammage might not dig this factor. It does get rather soapy but you have to use a verrrry generous amount of product to get this result but once you do it is pretty easy to get all cleaned up. So if you’re just getting off a stint with the likes of dove or suave body washes you may be a little thrown off by this but with most clean body washes this is something you’ll come to expect.
I’ve been using this body wash for about a week and with my dry skin it is crucial that I don’t use body washes or soaps that strip my skin of the natural oils it barely has so I was excited to see that this body wash did not strip my skin. This was also true with their hand wash that I was sent to try and surprisingly the hand soap doesn’t strip your hands either. The scent is not overbearing so I found that it didn’t stick around long after showering if it had at all, but that is something I don’t mind because I apply my body lotions and fragrance oils after showering anyways.
I really love the ingredients in this body wash and in Nourish’s products because they are completely clean and you don’t have to worry about not one suspect ingredient in their products. This particular body wash would be perfect for those who get irritated by certain scents or synthetic fragrances because the scent of this body wash is so natural and mimics the natural scent of berries. It’s ingredients are also very simple and clean so this would be awesome for someone with sensitive skin as well. I really liked using this body wash and I definitely want to try some of their other scents.
Have any of you tried any of Nourish’s products? If so, did you like them and would you recommend them for others?
