Lipglosses in squeeze tubes, you just gotta love them. I love the fact that they easily bring me back to the days when I first experimented with any kind of lip gloss when my quite glamorous grandmother first introduced them to me, so I was happy to try out this lip luster since it is said to look fab on everyone. Osmia Organics Lip Luster offers a sheer wash of translucent color for newbies just easing into color, or for those who prefer a sheer wash of color instead of a full blown pigment when your lips are lacking moisture.
Osmia Organics Lip Luster is described as a natural lip gloss that “gets its gorgeous color from beet root and alkanet root “. I myself would describe it as a translucent burgundy red color that offers tons of shine that makes my lips look a lot more plumper than they already are. I found that this gloss does set into my lip lines a bit yet it is not sticky or tacky. This gloss also lasts at least a couple of hours on me.
Osmia Organics Lip Luster gives you a nice just bitten lip which I really like and feels very smooth on the lips. It initially comes out of the tube like a thick jelly until you spread it out on your lips to help separate the product and get even color coverage. The only thing that is not my favorite about this lip luster despite the fact that it is pretty hydrating is that it has a very odd smell that I’m really not sure how to explain. Maybe it is because of the beet root in it, (but it’s not like I know what beets really smell like anyways!), but after being on my lips for a little while I do not notice it as much*. Which is a great thing!
I’ve enjoyed wearing this lip luster to work for a very sheer glossy coat of color that is not too loud yet is still very pretty. This lip luster would work absolutely great for someone who wants to shy their way into wearing a red lip because it is pretty sheer and not too loud yet is still visible on the lips.
Have any of you tried this Lip Luster from Osmia Organics? Let me know what you think about it in the comment section below!
*Update: I was notified by the brand that I may have received a bad batch due to heat conditions and was sent a new tube which smells much like it is supposed to. A lot like vanilla and is definitely yummy smelling!
