This conditioner has been on my radar for some time now and I finally got around to buying it when I came across some random sale that I can’t really recall now. I definitely have a weakness for luxury beauty products (as you will begin to notice) and luxury hair care products are definitely no exception. Lets just say that I have champagne taste on a beer budget yet, I’ve managed to try out some products that are probably a bit on the pricey side but all in the name of beauty blogging! Or at least that’s what I tell myself…
Rahua’s Voluminous Conditioner promises to moisturize and nourish, prevent frizz, and create body, volume, and bounce, which makes it a tad bit different than their other conditioner. I’d like to say that I’ve been through the trenches with this conditioner because I’ve literally put it to the test in every way possible and I am pleased to say that it did thicken and strengthen my individual strands yet it did not give me the volume I expected. I tested it out as a wash out conditioner, a deep conditioner with added heat, and also as a leave in conditioner and it worked very well at conditioning my very dry hair leaving it very soft and bouncy and it never weighed it down even when used as a leave-in. I was also experiencing a ton of breakage prior to using this conditioner and it also seemed to help bring my breakage to a minimum since it has really strengthened my strands but still no added volume sadly.
This conditioner has a very light scent that smells a lot like Acure Organics Lemongrass Conditioner because this too has Lemongrass in it. It has a very light scent that does not linger all that long so it is nice because it is not at all overbearing or too loud. The packaging definitely appears more fancier than it actually is in person, with it coming in a plastic bottle with a gold top with gold lettering on it’s white labels. It’s consistency is a bit on the thin side for a conditioner yet it’s not to the point where the product will be slipping through your hands.
Rahua’s Voluminous conditioner is especially nice for thickening and strengthening the hair shaft because of the protein in it and it definitely works well at conditioning the hair even when used in different ways and I really loved it for those aspects but it did not create more body in my hair unfortunately, but I’ve read reviews that have said that they experienced a lot of body almost instantly but I didn’t get that effect. I do really want to try out their regular conditioner and maybe some of their other hair care products now though after trying out this one and liking it for what it did do for my hair. It truly is a really moisturizing conditioner for really dry or curly hair!
