I’m the type of girl who can’t have enough lipgloss (and you’ll soon see this in future posts) because you can easily put on some eyeliner, mascara, and some gloss and still look put together without really having to do much. I always like to wear a pretty gloss to places like work and school where makeup that you’d wear on a night out on the town might be a little much. So, in came this beautiful gloss from Revolution Organics that I fell in love with over the course of one day.
Revolution Organics lipgloss in Truth ($26.00, .23oz) is described as a “sheer true pink”. The lipgloss is indeed sheer and I would describe the shade as a really pretty hot pink with traces of silver, blue, and I swear I saw some traces of purple shimmer as well. In the tube the lipgloss actually appears a red color but once you open it up you’d be surprised to see that it is actually a really pretty hot pink!
Revolution Organics lipgloss in Truth is not sticky or tacky on the lips and it feels very smooth and not drying at all. It is a sheer gloss so it is not opaque but I found that in layering it on it gives you a nice wash of color so it is semi-build able. But even with layering it is still very translucent because you can still through to the lips.
It appears a translucent hot pink on my lips after layering it on so this is also a great gloss for those with pigmented lips like mine. This gloss also doesn’t have any discernible scent or taste. It’s 100% natural with 85% of its ingredients certified organic. I was able to get about 2 hours of wear out of this gloss which is pretty typical of a sheer gloss. After 2 hours you probably won’t find a trace of this gloss left over on your lips so if having to reapply gloss urks you, you may not digg this factor.
This gloss is a great substitute for those who like a nice and simple yet very glamorous wash of color, but have a fear of wearing really bright or pigmented lip products out in public. It’s also a great gloss for work or if you are in a hurry but still want to spruce things up a bit.
The packaging is also very cute and sleek like your everyday lipgloss so I liked carrying this lipgloss around with me. It can be easily thrown in your purse or makeup bag. I really like this gloss so I plan on keeping it around for the days that I want to keep it simple but still glam:)
So, have any of you tried any Revolution Organics products? If so, which ones? Leave it in the comments or just comment to say hi!
